dizzing
great review.. i agree with everything you said, except on the flavor - i haven't gotten a good strong flavor out of this one yet, and i've tried about 3 times. actually, i should go set some out now, clean my hookah, and do a thorough review of it. maybe i'll have better results - i'll go with the 3/4 3kings as well, since as cool as natural coals are, they're still a bastard to maintain a consistent even heat. all varying and whatnot. PipeSmokeMcGee
Actually, I just changed my review right before I posted it. I wrote the review after the first smoke I had. Since then, I've smoked 3 more bowls, and I have acheived good raspberry flavor. Just be patient. It should come. BEN
Sonthert
Humidity effects. Some flavors become more faint or prominant based on changes in humidity because they are soluble in water...more water in the air/tobacco, more gets dissolved and lost. Just a theory, I'm working on.
hoo-of-the-kah
do you have any tips, how to streghten the flavour?
HookahDuck
hoo-of-the-kah, I've noticed that it will take several exposures to the air for Tangiers tobacco to really bring out the flavor and smoke density. It seems to be quite finicky in this regard. However, believe me... its worth it in the end.In fact.. some Tangiers Rasberry sounds tasty right now. Sonthert
I have been experimenting, on and off, with changing the temperature of water in the jar to nullify humidity effects. When the smoke is lacking in flavor, cold water (Yes, with ice) seems to help, whereas warm water helps real dense, heavy smoke to calm down. PipeSmokeMcGee
<gasp!!!!!!!!!>tangiers advocating the conditional use of ice (classified as a foreign object) into the base of the hookah?!?!?!?!what's going on?
Sonthert
That was my other personality. I swear. If there's a good reason to add ice, other than superstition, I'm in favor of it.
