Imsomint
I picked up this table at Goodwill for $18. I measured everything out and cut my center hole with a jigsaw, and rounded it off as best I could with a router. I drilled the hose holes with a 7/8" bit and attempted the same which resulted in one oval hole. Oh well, function > cosmetics. Amirite??? I then rounded off the hose holes with a 1/4" round bit to avoid hose damage. Go ahead and get your laughs off at my hookah, still being my first and only hookah so far, picked it up from the local smoke shop and still have yet to order my KM ice that I want so dearly. This hole is cut here in the bottom so the lip around the outside edge of a plastic bowl can sit on the edge of the wood. I place my hookah inside the bowl and fill the bowl with ice, eliminating my having to put ice inside of my base. While I don't think it get my water as cold, the bowl serves two purposes.... Water collection for my drippy prototype ice chamber. Here's another picture of it. Its made of two little tin buckets cut to fit inside of each other. Water leaks out into the bowl below but the Ice stays put. I am open to ideas relating to improving or completely redesigning my little ice chamber. It is pretty rough for now until I feel like getting off my lazy ass and getting some tin snips that allow me to cut a nice straight line in a tin bucket. Here's another pictureJust when you thought you were tired of seeing all these diffusers in the HTFH, Here comes a random lurker with another one. It's simply made of a crazy glue container with tiny hole drilled into it. Turns out the cap fits perfectly around the end of my cheap little down stem. I crazy glued the red cap onto the chamber part and used a drill press equipped with a needle to drill the holes in the chamber. I cut the chamber down to a good little size and pinched the end with a pair of needle-nosed pliers and melted it closed on my stove.WOW! Look at the detail in that laminated wood!!
