Not long ago a buddy of mine & I were at a pub downtown. He had brought another friend of his to introduce to me. Talk got around to smokes. I said I had a briar pipe & I smoked an occational cigar, but that my favorite way to take tobacco was using my hookah. We talked about how different it was. My friend knows I smoke hookah but has never expressed an intrest. I got a phone call a moment ago. They both want me to bring my hookah (I have a 3 hose Syrian "chiller") to my buddys house New Years day with an assortment of tobacco. I have some apple, mint, and cherry. My buddy said he liked strawberry and asked if I minded picking some up. I agreed. I will also pick up a little orange. We are to have an afternoon of smoking & scotch. I said I wanted Laphroig. It'll probably wind up being Johnny Walker, but as long as it is at least Black Lable I will not complaine.

I'm a good friend of Mr Walker a well. This month Costco had a special on his gold label $10 off, had to buy a bottle for special occasions. couldn't wait for one so it's almost gone already.

Johnny Walker...hmm. Try Chivas Regal (Cause I like Strathisla single malt), Ardbeg single malt (If you like the peaty) or Highland Park Single malt (If you like the salty). JW gold is pretty good, but overpriced, because you can get Clynelish single malt (the central malt in JW gold) even 18 Year old for like $60. Clynlish 18 YO

For New Year's, I will be doing something similar. My friends asked me to bring my pipes over to their place. You gave me the idea to ask for compensation in the form of some good libation - perhaps I'll shoot for the stars and ask for some Blue Label, which I know they've got kicking around somewhere in their collection.

yeah i got my dad a bottle of chivas regal 18yr and he loves it.

My sister got that same gift our dad too! Weird. I haven't tried it yet, but soon. Review forthcoming.
