Well, ultimately, if you aren't happy with it, we can try to get it working for you or you can get them to accept a return or repair it for you.

So, what I'm hearing, the problems are broken down into four problems:

1. The jar doesn't seal well with the shank
2. The hoses don't have gaskets/you aren't using the gaskets.
3. The head doesn't have a gasket/you are using the head gasket.
4. The jar looks bad.

1. Make sure you are using the largest gasket that came with the hookah, It will be either too large or too small. If it is too small, you need to use electrical tape on the hub (the metal lump that goes in the jar), under the gasket, wrapping electrical tape under it until it is the right size. If it is too large, make sure they haven't used tape, remove it if they have, check the size again and if the gasket/shank hub is still too large, check too see how close it is using nothing but electrical tape for the gasket (instead of the too-big gasket). If you use more than 10-12 full rotations of tape, then you need a gasket...probably sanded either with a file, sandpaper or steel wool.

2-3. Similar with hose/head gaskets, except you shouldn't need electrical tape under a head gasket (unless they sent you the wrong head or gasket). The hose can be tightened by putting electrical tape under the gasket, on the hose stem. If you insist that you need tape for the head, thats fine, use some...electrical tape can withstand high temperatures.

4. Ugly jar art. Dip your finger in warm water, rub the design partly, see if it wears off slightly. You can either soak it in warm water if its water soluble (wears off under your finger)and/or use a spatula/razor blade to remove the designs. If its water soluble, you can do both. If its bakes on real well, you might need a razor blade to remove it.

Thanks for your detailed answer man, but I'm not really having a problem getting the shaft to seal with the jar; Sorry if that's how it sounded. And with the hoses, it's not that the gaskets are too big, they're actually a bit too small. That's not my biggest worry though, so i'm not too concerned about it because it does work, just slips out more than it should. The head has a gasket, it just fits really awkwardly on the head. It seems its a little too wide for the bowls and they don't secure very well. No air leaks as far as I can tell though. I'd really just like to get my hookah replaced by them/refunded

take pics of all your issues, the rust is definately a problem, however are you leaving the stem in the water? that would explain the rust.

I will post pics later tonight. No I'm not, it came out of the box that way. I called them earlier they said they should be able to straighten it out but I would have to email the customer service manager. I did so giving him/her a detailed description and pics of everything... And I got a message back saying:

Shalom!
Thank you!

angry.gif Hopefully that means they're in the process of sorting it out..
