ThermalZeal
Hey guys I just got the Spider from Taqseem and I must say it looks GORGEOUS! And is simply a thing of beauty. One thing however I noticed is the slight change in design. Originally the spider 3 hose used two wooden plugs for single hose use. This new design uses an auto seal. One thing I have not been able to do is clear the chamber of stale smoke!!!!!!!!This leads to harshness pretty fast.Any ideas on what the problem could be?Ive heard all the drama about auto sealsOh and sorry about the double post. yashman19
Well having an autoseal system doesn't make your hookah harsh, not managing your heat properly causes harshness... With an autoseal system, you should be able to clear your base... Maybe the balls are just stuck in the hole and won't release...Maybe you can use some sort of food safe lubricant to loosen them up.. pavlakos_politakos
that happens to me sometimes.but i never use lube.i just unscrew the top piece lift the ball ,blow the smoke out,and replace those 2 pieces.easy cheesy, lemon squeezy. ThermalZeal
I figured it out, since all three holes have an auto seal, what you have to do is take the ball bearing out of the one where you have a hose plugged into (for single hose use) then you can blow out just fine. My problem was that my auto seal on the hose would seal when I tried to blow the smoke out. Bearing out, no problem. Thanks guys

yashman19
since when does hte spider have autoseal? also is the base screw in now or is it still gromit?
I didn't even know that Sammer was implementing autoseal with the Spiders. Mine doesn't have the autoseal, but I'm fairly certain that they all will still come with the rubber grommets instead of the screw-in base. ThermalZeal
Yeah, it now has an auto seal (by my definition it means that people dont needa plug their holes when u suck in...) Still using the same rubber grommet, Im having a slight issue with mine not being perfectly level and my hookah leaning slightly. But when I get some time Ill take some teflon tape to the issue and I should be good to go.

Speaking of which, I still need to write some sort of review and post pictures of it. I'm waiting to use it with more than 1 hose for a proper review.
