Hate to revive an old post, but mouthwash is actually pretty good. I didn't think AF Mint could get any mint-ier, but add just a splash of mint mouthwash to the bowl- wow! A little bit goes a long way though, it makes it very smooth, but the smoke feels much thicker- almost like you are sucking in water through the hose (not smoke).

Just double checking; mouthwash in the bowl or in the vase?

Pretty sure he meant in the vase... I don't think it'd be possible to smoke mouthwash..

I usually stick with old skool ice water these days, but one of my favorite additives I've tried is coconut milk. Om nom nom.

That's what I figured, but again, just double checking. I'd hate to miss something great... Or kill myself trying something stupid.

Gin is pretty good. If I host a hookah party one of mine will inevitably have gin + grenadine, [b]people never cease to be amazed that you can get drunk that way

I've never really wanted to put something other than water in the base because it sounds very wasteful....until I read this.

I'm going to try that this weekend.

Has any one here ever found the "trick" to using milk without having outrageous problems with bubbles?

Whats the trick?

I prefer good ol fashioned cold water...if I want anyting I usually drink a tropical fruit nector while I smoke to add to the flavouring....nice gold mango nectar and some good pulls is great.

I've done it with rum in the base and I didn't get drunk. You're not actually consuming the alcohol, so I really don't think you can get drunk.

Only use a little bit of milk and the rest water. Or my trick, add powdered coffee creamer to the water.

Actually, alcohol is volatile (it vaporizes freely from its liquid state), so you can get "drunk" off of having it in the vase, or at least something similar, I dunno how your lungs would deal with transferring alcohol from the air into your system...

And I don't think a couple tablespoons of milk does Jack shit. I hear the less homogenized / the higher fat content of the milk, the fewer bubbles, but I haven't tested that theory...

i've tried:

1) water from the kitchen sink
2) water from the bathroom sink
3) water from the bathtub
4) water from the shower head
5) water from my friends sink
6) bottled water
7) water and ice
8) orange juice (ordered from a lounge)

i prefer water from the bathtub the best...
