i read a few posts in this thread and my head started to hurt....

so rather than lose brain cells i'll tell you some FACTS

the amount smoke cools is negligible between a 12" and a 60" hookah, the temp of your water and wether or not you use ice have a much more significant effect on smoke being hotter/cooler. the size of the vase also has a lot to do with it, as well as how far your downstem is into the water (further down more water to filter through, coolor smoke, shallow downstem less water, hotter smoke). sucking hot smoke through the water does warm the water over time, so a small vase is going to become warm water much quicker than a large vase. its way i stay away from pumpkins for the most part.

small hookahs are easier to transport. this is obvious, even stevey wonder agrees. that said hookahs with a travel case regardless of size are all just as easy to travel with assuming your carrying the case and not trying to stick the hookah in a backpack or something else.

NOW for some personal opinion that i feel can proabbly be proven if you take time

the size of the hookah does not affect smoke AT ALL. bowl/packing/heat management are going to affect your smoke more than anything else. period

Get a small MYA. Solid construction, relatively easier to clean, and the portability that you can't beat.

I have 2 hookahs: The Witch (tiny, portable one you put on a bottle) and a GIANT (45") Magdy Zidan. The Witch requires a harder pull, but it's negligible. Both give a great quality smoke. I just like having The Witch cause it's portable for me on campus and I leave the giant one in the room and drag it outside from time to time. I agree that the quality of smoke is dependent on the shisha, bowl, and heat management.
