Any Vegetable Glycerin Is Safe To Use For Making Shisha Juicier Right?

Recommended Posts

I am looking to make some of my nakhla a little more juicy, and found a site that sells 2.2 lbs for 13 bucks shipped.

Just wanted to make sure any veggie glycerin will work it says it is 99.5 USP , some rating i take it.

here is the link : http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.ca/glyce...-995-p-540.html

Any advice?

Thanks

You wont need 5lbs of the stuff. I would say get the 500gm bottle. Start small and if you need more later then you can make a bigger investment. I only used 2 tsp in my nakhla 250g and I think that was too much. Next time I'm going to do 1 tsp glycerin 2 tsp honey. Very little is required to have the desired effect with nakhla.

so that stuff is ok? My question was mainly geared towards if that specific stuff would be ok to use. I figure 500g is 4.19 and 1kg is only 2 dollars more so why not ya no?

Thanks for your quick response bulldog.

because i don't want to change the actual taste of the shisha, the way nakhla tastes is perfect. If i only use honey (which I have tried) it makes it a lot sweeter. I'd rather use some glycerin and then a tiny bit of honey if need be.

For nahkla I use a honey and glycerin mix.

In 250g's of nahkla I would typically use 38ml's of Glycerin (It's sold as a cooking agent in england in 38mls bottles*)
and around 10g's (Two tea spoons) of Natural honey.

MIX LIKE HELL.

Leave for a day or so... Mix some more. and mix it each time before smoking.

The honey reduces any 'soap' taste from the glycarin.

and 38ml to US tsp is more than 7 tsp, almost 8...that seems like a lot + 2tsp honey?

also, what about using black strap molasses?

might seem a fair bit, but nahkla can be really dry. If you think that it's too much
just 1/2 the ratios and volumes.

there was a thread about someone using molasses in nahkla. Buggered if I can remember
who or when though sad.gif

Any vegetable glycerin is good. I buy by the pharmacy but almost never use it! We get here in Israel Nakhla from Egypt every cigarette selling stand or store locally. IF you put a wee too much glycerin in, it ruins the taste. If you use a bit too much, no taste, if more a lousy glycerin taste. Nakhla com. has good reason for it's glycerin/shisha ratio. If you want one teaspoon to 25 grams shisha is good.
