SAVE THE LEFTOVER

Recommended Posts

yeah, that just cools the shisha itself.  It seems to cool the smoke, you'd want ice around, well, where the smoke is.  regardless of initial shisha temperature, it will still have to get just as hot to produce smoke.  does that sound right?  also seems like the coals would melt the ice and you'd end up with drippings and other pain in the butt type situation.

I will try it .. It should be here in 3 weeks time.  I am not expecting much of it.  But you never know until you try.  It is like this two bowl thing that I bought a while ago.  That was useless, it looked cool in a party but not an enjoyable thing, too much heat management time spent on it.

that's ridiculous... ma'assel smokes via the bowl getting hot (which is why we typically use ceramic bowls, which retain heat properly).  all this would do is make you need more coal to get smoke, and risk burning the tobacco.  ludicrous.

The more I look at that thing, the more problems I see with it.Now those hookahs that have a campartment to put ice under the bowl, those would probably work, I recon. Ugly as sin in my eyes though.

hm, filling it with the ash from previous sessions?...wow, i have no freaking idea what would happen.somebody should try it.although i doubt it will do anything at all ... hmm, how about, try putting coal directly inside it?i wonder what would happen?!?!?somebody should actually do this and let us know what happens :)like, then you wouldn't need a screen or anything, just drop the coals right into the bowl.  somehow i doubt it would work, however.  who knows?'sorry, this post is all disjointed... i just spent about 30 minutes cutting up chunks of coal, and another hour making a 2-stage coal chamber out of some coat hangers and 2 windcovers... it's pretty cool, the small windcover has a grille inside it and a hook coming up off the top, so it can be filled with coals, swung around to get them hot, whatever (that might be dangerous though) , then the bottom windcover is set up with a stand and a foil lining in the end of it (The bottom) , the top piece simply sits into the bottom piece and voila, a place to keep your hot coals while you smoke that won't burn whatever you set it on (ie carpet)actually it's like this    / |  _|___|ooooo||       |||o o|/  xxxxx <--there is a grille inside here __/oooooo|   |  ,|x x x | ||   |v|------| ---- / /---- /_/__  <--super flimsy legs made out of coat hanger- this is the weak link in my design... :)

We're talking about at leat 200 degrees. Water of any kind would serve to dampen (figuratively) the heat transfer AND slow it down, because the water has to get upto temperature.Somehow I don;t think that bowl was designed to have water in or it was designed by someone who wasn't terribly knowledgeable. I don't know. I think its a waste of money.
