Still is finicky with the traditional and ONLY works properly with a tangiers phunnel. As for the grommet...each MZ takes it differently. My MZ has a slight lean to it, but I've been using the overweighted, oversized KM hose, when I use the MZ hose, it doesnt lean much, if at all...I take it off, moisten it, re-apply, and work it like testing a new door-knob to get it a good seal.My purge clogs from residue on ball once in a while, thats about it there....these are the only flaws I have found on mine thus far.Hope you have better luck on yoursNo lean thus-far, and the traditional bowl fits fine... As does my Phunnel. The purge was cross-threaded but I fixed it (with a screwdriver ). No other problems than the base/grommet thing... I mean, if it's supposed to have this TINY air leak, I'm fine with it, I'm just scared that it's sacrificing smoke quality. It shouldn't leak at all, none of my MZ's have, but they have all had that same type of massive grommet for the stem to the base. I would say try taking off the grommet and doing a few wraps of electrical tape underneath it to make the fit a bit snugger. It will hopefully fix the airleak your having. I will also say that 4 of the 6 MZ's i've had have leaned, some like the freakin leaning tower, just have to be a tad bit more careful with them if they do have the mz lean thing goin on.I'm smoking her now, and she's not leaking a bit!I think I fixed it by playing with the grommet a bit, the big part still causes what looks like a sort-of seperation to where the vase and stem aren't seamlessly met... But it's not leaking at all. I think most of it was the purge.
