MechAnt
Damn, we need Eric here to confirm. Golden Canarys are my favorite coal!Guess I'll have to bulk order some Blown coal from a banned vendor to keep me tied over for a while.
mushrat
I spoek with Eric/Tangiers. He says they are NOT going out of business though they ARE in short supply until a new Cargo container hits the states. He says what some companies MAY be doing is saying they are going out of business because they may be going up in price and those companies that carry them don't want to say that they arent carrying them due to that. Makes tem look better if they blame it on the Caol company not making them anymore. So hang tight and Eric says they will be back in a few weeks possibly. Voski
Why would anyone be buying these any more if the fusion ones are the same? Either they clearly aren't the same or people aren't trying them?

Where is this $10 place u speak of? I checked super king today they dont have any.Online they are normally 15 a box. You thought they were 6 because the imitation coals of the real GC that are called easy lites the Chinese version are 6 bucks a box. They def have more shit in them, smell horrible when lighting, but give off a ton of heat for a jap coal. Everytime I use them I use the same amount of coal as GC and i always forget when the bowl starts to burn then I take one off and its good. TexasHookah
Interesting, we were even thinking about carrying Golden charcoal the quicklight and the sqaure. Seems like they are the second best quick light charcoals next to Three Kings. For quicklights I still have to go with Three Kings at the top. cotsi95
Ive used both 3k and goldens and i prefer goldens if i have to use ql
mattarios2
What about Chron QL's? I hate QL's and I tried those and they are amazing, ready to go in under 45 seconds or so.
cotsi95
i just dont like how much they flame and spark, you cant really light them inside. But they are good.
mushrat
If i have to use a ql its either a 3 king or Akhla.
Stuie
I only use QL's when I travel, and those are usually Goldens. Tried 3 Kings but when it exploded on the bowl and singed my carpet, no more. I use some no name ones also that I got from some place, i forget.
mushrat
Funny golden QL's used to be the ones known for exploding. Used to be a hot topic around here. Times they do change.
Stuie
I am guessing all QL have that potential due to the lighting chemical. Some might not get discharged until further heating. That's why I use them rarely. I have a box of golden coals and i think i have used one roll in the past year.
