Hey all, I'm from the US, Illinois/Missouri to be more precise. I live in a fairly small town with one hookah bar that is too expensive to even go to, though I don't know if it is even still in business anymore. We only have one place that sells real shisha and two places that sell hookahs. Needless to say, hookah is not very big here, though I have met at few others who enjoy in partaking in the experience

I started smoking a several years ago with a buddy of mine that brought one back from Tempi Arizona and introduced me to it. I smoked on special occasions for a year, maybe two and then eventually quit for various reasons. My roommate in college just bought a nice three hose hookah for a really good price, but they were sold out by the time I got there to pick one up. He and I got a good group together to smoke with and now I have decided to start again, can't resist.

I stumbled upon this site because I was doing some research on what hookah to order because the shops around here suck. I watched some YouTube videos and saw a few guys smoking out of a Khalil Mamoon Chiller hookah and my eyes lit up. They said KM hookahs were the best around, so that is what I am looking at getting. I think the guys who made the video are actually members on this site.

I am not all that savvy when it comes to hookahs, so any suggestions are more than welcome, I am hear to learn!

Hello and welcome to the forum. First off I will definatly agree that with the chiller you have made a very strong choice. Its cool if your not super hookah savvy as most of the people on this forum really are. Any questions you have anyone would be more than happy to answer just remember to look for a previous post on general questions before asking it yourself and you should be ok. Its amazing the things you'll learn here that will make your sessions SO much better.

Welcome to the boards. As much as i love my KM, truth be told ANY hookah can smoke great if you have the experience. THe biggest thing is going to be longevity, I think Kms will last a long time, esp if you take really good care of them. Stick around a while and youll learn a thing or two i know i did.

Thank guys. Ya, that is why I haven't posted much yet is I am trying to get a feel about what all has already been discussed. I am a bit too busy to read EVERYTHING that has been posted, as this looks like it is a very active forum, but I am going to to my best to read as much as possible before posting very much. I have been a moderator for a different forum awhile back and know how aggrivating it is to have to explain everything to the new folk and how aggrivating it is to have repeat posts. Kinda figured an introduction post has 0% chance of being a repeat as they are all unique, lol.

I am going to try to figure out who it was that I watched smoke on youtube because I seem to remember the guys avatar matching a scene from the clip. I know the guy is a dedicated hookah smoker and I think under his avatar it says "why hasn't km sponsored me yet?" or something like that. Hmm, well I had just wrote a whole lot and only a small portion of it showed up, so I guess there is a limit on how long a post can be? Anyway, the guys nickname on youtube is Codename067, real name is George, 21 year old from Aleppo, Syria, goes to CSU Northridge, does this ring a bell to anyone?

Oh, and I do agree the setup is vital to a successful session, but I do not have a whole lot of experience, so I am going to have to rely on the hookah to do more of the work. One of the main reasons I joined the board was to learn more about hookahs, and it looks like this is the perfect place! Thanks for the welcome!
