My New Km

Recommended Posts

i'm fairly new around here, but not a new hookah user. i have a Mya abyss 3hose, and a glass on glass hookah bought at my local shop. i recently felt like giving myself a late holiday present; the Khilal Mamoon tri-metal. yes.gif
i forgot how i cleaned my Mya for the first time to get the taste of metal out, and was wondering if you guys have any solid tips/tricks for doing so. i remember using lemon juice... but that's about it.
also for a diffuser, i have the heba for my mya, will the larger diffuser work with the KM? it didn't fit into my myas base.
and with the new hookah, i'd like a large phunnel bowl or maybe a vortex... anyone know where to get one at a good price? i paid way too much the last time.
Thanks!

I don't think the diffuser will fit over the bulb on the end of the KM stems. Theres a few good ones for KMs in the DIY section.

For the metal taste, I've never had that problem, but I'm sure a quick clean of it wouldnt hurt with some hot water and maybe some soap.

Honestly out of all the new KM's i've smoked I have yet to taste metal in any of them, but if your truly concerned about it then I would do baking soda and lemon juice and scrub it out with a brush. As for the diffuser it more then likely won't fit on the end of the KM stem, I have yet to see a km that a H-S Heba fits on. You can custom make yourself a diffuser if you'd still like to use one on your KM though, there's some instructions in the How-To section of the site, or at least there was the last time I looked in there. Vortex bowls are sold out everywhere right now, and large phunnels can be picked up from hookah-company.com, just be ready for a bowl that holds 70-100g of tobacco if you get the phunnel.

im not too worried about teh taste, its teh dust/all that junk im concerned about. i used to have a large phunnel, after bringing in the hookah one night, it rolled off the counter when i was cleaning it. dash2.gif
going to hit up hookah-company right now. haha.

IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY A VORTEX, BUY IT AT A LOCAL SHOP!!!
the placement on the holes appears to be random so some are at the very bottom, some are in the middle, and some are at the top.
if you buy one online you risk getting one with the holes on the bottom so it cant hold juices well.
luckly my local shop has them so i got one with holes at the top, but i had to go through like 6 before i found that one there.

just something to think about if your wanting a vortex.

figured, what the heck why not... if the vortex isnt great, so be it, (and i buy another phunnel.) but it will be nice not having to make a tealight cover every time for the phunnel. well see how it goes. thanks tho guys. you've all been really helpful.

I can fit my Small heba diffuser over the end of my KM stem. There's a little lip after the bulb that i can either fit the stretchy piece over, but that's a pain in the ass. Instead I just use the hard white plastic part and it fits snugly.
