Ginormous Hookah

Recommended Posts

So I finally got it: my dream hookah. And it didn't disappoint. This thing is an absolute beast. blink.gif It's approximately 45" tall. And it's the perfect compliment to my cobra hose. It's a Magdy Zidan XXL Nefertiti.

I finally ordered a phunnel. I think it's a small...perhaps a medium. I ordered it from hookah-shisha.com if that helps any.

Although it can't be seen, I got a diffuser too. Overall, this is a great hookah. It smokes really well. It's absolutely smooth. All my friends love it. The common first reaction is usually "HOLY SHIT!! THAT IS HUGE!!" And then they smoke it, and it just goes uphill from there. So I had to come on here and show it off to everyone. Enjoy!!

Not as bad as you might think. As long as it's sitting on a level surface, it's solid as a rock. Like if a room is carpeted, I'll set it on a hard back book (usually my textbook from welding class cause it's a good 1,000 pages thick).

That would not last in my house.... I have a cat that likes to jump the coals (wierd cat but whatever). It barely makes it over my 33" Pharonie with a small phunnel on top, something that large would just be all sorts of bad news.....Great buy tho.... very nice looking hookah.

Snoopy and someone else has one, i forget who, but they love them and they never mention stability issues, except cleaning is a bear I am sure.

Congrats on the new hookah!

That thing's sweet. I like the double ash tray It's like two hookahs put together. That's one of those hookahs that you have to name it's so special.

I thought the dual ash trays would be unnecessary at first, but since I'm stuck using quick light charcoals for now, they come in very handy; especially when adding more coal. I'll light a couple coals and put them on the bottom tray to let them spark up. While that's going on, I'll knock the old ash off the bowl onto the top tray.

And if you have a name suggestion, I'm all ears... happy.gif

Damn! Looks pretty sexy! heheh

Omg where did ya get that hose?! I know H-S carries a similar model, but I like the one in the OP better smile.gif

The hose I got at a local hookah shop. They had several in a "smaller" version and in different colors, but then there was also this one that was about double in size. I bought it right there on the spot. Knowing my luck, if I came back, it wouldn't have been there. The ones you mentioned on H-S are the exact same smallers ones I found at that shop. My only complaint on the hose is that the part that plugs into the stem is a tad too big. It fits, but...not as well as the hose that came with the hookah. It's minor details though. If I'm camped out in my beanbag, watching a movie, keeping movement to a minimum, then I barely notice.

where did you get this beautiful hookah?

Here's the URL to where I bought it (I tried linking it, but the edit window froze)
http://www.hookahkings.com/hookahs/egyptia...h/prod_227.html

They call it an Odyssey, but it's called a Nefertiti on MZ's official site. One of the freebies is a wind cover. That adds another inch or two to the height...heh heh.

Yeah, very little stability issues. The bottom inch or so of the vase is very wide set; almost as wide as the ash trays so it's very stable. I just set it on a book if the room is carpeted.

Duel ashtray is cool, I was going to buy that model instead of mine...but too big for back and forth transport(college student)...thought it was a multi-piece stem, not one.
Anywho, I like the coal lighting idea there...never thought of it...I thought that it served as an extra catch for missed ash AND a hose rest when no one is puffing tongue.gif

I thought it would have stability issues...I tend to have them a tiny bit with my model that is 1ft shorter...but then again, I'm using a bulky KM hose on it...gives it a slight lean

i have one too with a clear vase and black pieces on the stem that i picked up at Hookahstock I at scallis from the social smoke boys.

He's right its pretty stable just from being heavy, i use mine on a pizza stone that i never used, cutting board works well too. Dont bother putting it on a table though, you cant reach the coals! ha ha Edited by Abide
