I got a call about 45 minutes ago from a good friend of mine who had told me he had a really good friend in town and they were watching Youtube and my buddy was looking at vids from some music stuff we've goofed with and the guy sees I got hookah vids and he's like..... "that's Scalli???!" So my buddy tells me that his buddy is Moosepotatoes!!! What a GREAT surprise aye?!?!?!Mine and Moose's mutual friend is a great singer/musician and is playing a local gig with his band tomorrow night that some other friends and myself already had plans to be going out to see the show. It's not a good environment for hookah so we made plans to have a get-together at my house on Sunday. So this was a great surprise I wanted to share. Any other DFW folks that would like to join? I know it's short notice but we can smoke some hookah and I will get my buddy to do some pickin and of course I'm gonna fire the grill up I will get some pics and vid like old times. I really need to get back to doing the hookahstock event here especially since I finished the party patio now. I haven't thought up any silly hookah ideas lately but I've not smoked much lately I've heard Mush's place is really rockin' and that was great news. Tang's made a mini-phunnel that sounds really cool.I really miss bs'ing with you guys and it has always been a blast getting together with the ones I've had the honor to meet. Gimme a shout if ya think you can make it. Also my buddies gig Saturday is at the Tap-In in Grapevine so if you can make it there I'm always up for a good surprise as well later taters!!!! Scalliwag Posted January 12, 2009 Author Share Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) Well we got together at the house yesterday and had a great thoughbeit short time due to me being in the doghouse for staying out until 3am the night prior Ms. Scalli made me take her to a chick-flick as my punishment and of course it had to be last night So we only got two hours but we made the best of them. Knowing we had a stopwatch running I got everything setup in advance. I used my medium phunnel and mod and loaded it with Starbuzz Apricot (I was out of Peach ) I put apple cider in the base and ice. I used two 33mm Three Kings and at times I used the heat concentrator to get it just right.Jordan (Moosepotatoes) seem to like it and he is a great person it turns out even when I haven't had a beer or three I showed him my toy collection like the hookah made with the antique milk bottle and the one from Dubai. I even whipped out the LED turntable base and set the hookah on it (< Scalli version of red carpet! )Here is a clip from the event http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvvdVIudhRQ and the first song they do is sorta ironic in that I wished more of you guys would have been able to make it. At the moment no...atm I'm a broke college student, so I explore the country when I visit family. Unfortunately, the closest to Texas for me has been Santa Clara, California. My sister lived there but now is back in Pittsburgh...so no more paid plane tickets out to the West Coast for the moment...but, I am graduating in the next two years and will have salary to possibly be able to make a plane trip to jump around hf member's homes in Texas and see ya then (Hope Canon and Kat are back from the Island by then)...anywho, off the bed, I have class today and my girlfriend coming to stay for a week(wont be on here as much as I would like, I'm whipped ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
