rosc2112
2 questions:Which products/brands are *all* natural? No artificial colors, flavors, etc, no dye(!) or gobs of red color where it should not be (red mint?? I think not!)AndWhich sellers actually keep their stock fresh? Coming from a bad 1st experience and got way old product.

rosc2112
Hard to find info about the contents of the various shishas, at least as far as things like coloring, and the actual ingredients in the euphamistic "natural flavor" I've seen listed on some. The packages I've seen all say pretty much the same thing, "tobacco, honey/molasses, glycerine, sugar, 'flavor.'" It's what's hiding behind that "flavor" tag that could be worrisome. And what's with the coloring, it's icky. I'm sure sales drones think it adds to the appeal of the shisha, but I don't like it as a consumer, it just looks phoney and messy. It seems like all the information is word-of-mouth, the manufacturers websites I've visited do not discuss whether they use "all-natural" ingredients or not. I haven't seen anything in writing to that effect (beyond some sellers websites making that assertion, but nothing from the manufacturer per se.)On a side note, I just read recently that cigarette makers are going to start putting their ingredients (full disclosure) on their packaging. I think this is a voluntary change on their part, but I might be mistaken. Hopefully other tobacco product makers will follow suit.
Voski
Just because it is natural doesn't mean it is better for you. In this one book I had to read it was explaining how chemically, natural and synthetic flavorings have the same chemical structure. It also mentioned that sometimes the natural counterpart can be worst for you because it can contain other "poisonous" chemicals, where the synthetic one wouldn't have these because it was man made. I'm not concerned with "better for you" (obviously, I smoke!) But, as far as taste, natural tastes better. Perhaps because the artificial man-made substitutes do not include *all* of the ingredients the natural product does? IOW, an apple has many more compounds than "apple flavoring." Like Breyer's ice cream looks and tastes better to me than all the brands filled with gums, artificial colors/flavorings, etc. There's also the argument that the artificial junk is a cheap short-cut to maximize profit for the manufacturer, while short-changing me the consumer. Why put a pound of cream and fruit into the product, when you can squirt in a few drams of artificial scent & flavoring & gums for 1/10th the cost of fresh fruit (and still charge a high price for "premium" ice cream)? Chalk it up to preference, if you want. I'd prefer this thread stick with my original questions, I just want to know which brands of shisha use "all natural ingredients" (eg, no artificial crap) and which vendors sell fresh, dated products. Stuie
If someone want's to give me $5K i will make a list of not just each brand but each subsequent flavor. Might take me a while...come on guys give me a break it's monday.
mattarios2
yeah I think people who haven't tried all the brands and only one flavor are assuming the rest are dyed ... that's what seems to be going on here.
inino
ya its definately not a big deal, i think it pretty much depends on the flavor and the brand and the batch. for example, i have had layalina mint come in dark green, bright neon green, red, and undyed. mustang_steve
I still think coloring is senseless, it's all going under foil anyways.
