smokedoc
I know not everyone likes double apple but I love AW double apple! But I haven't tried other brands. So I am curious.....Has anyone out there who loves double apple tried multiple brands and which do you find best????
HookahDuck
I think most people will agree that Nakhla double apple is among the best- both for its value and taste. 2x apple isnt a hard flavor to hit really, and I dont notice a large difference between premium and traditional ma'assel when it comes to this flavor. Its all a matter of personal preference.Al Amir's 2x apple is quite good. As is Al Fakher. However, they are probably more similar to traditional brands than any other flavor
mushrat
Nakhla is by far the best. Al Waha is much ligher in the anis, but still very good. Af 2 apple is also good, but Nakhla is the standard as far as I'm concerned.
aronparsons
I'm going to have to give Nahkla 2x apple a shot. I'm quite happy with the AA version I have too.
Sonthert
Nahkla Double Apple is a benchmark. It redefined what we thought of tobacco, back in the day. It became an instant classic and all other double apples and even regular apples are judged by it.
Seandoo
Wow. Any of you that have been on the forum since last summer know of my quest for the elusive double apple I've seemed to had two times in the past without knowing the brand. I think it's pretty funny how my opinions of Nakhla Double Apple differ extremely from everybody else...in fact, it makes me want to try it again now that I'm more experienced and don't use quick lite charcoal since I have a stove...and from the likes of the places I tried this elusive brand's flavor, it may well have been Nakhla. Now I'm all confused heh. Back to the point, Romman Double Apple was pretty good, as a member was generous enough to let me sample it some time ago. AF Double Apple was decent, as long as you enjoy Nyquil =) if you're not a huge fan of black licorice then stay away but otherwise, enjoy. Saet Safa Double Apple was just okay, but the smoke was friggin brown-tinted so I'd stay away. BTW Mouj Al Bahr Tripple Apple is pretty nasty in my opinion...not to bash any company or anything but wow I almost threw up. Just me...wait has anybody ever tried it as well? What did you think if you did?
Sonthert
Hey, Seandoo's picture is back to cartoon guy. Either that or I've lost what's left of my brain. Wow the carpet's getting louder. Have to go now, I'll let myself answer the question.Yeah, Al Waha's double apple has always been respectable. I think you're doing well by smoking it over other brands. Jonny Haze
I enjoy Al-Amir double apple. I would like to know how people feel about thier triple apple, sinse it's one I havn't tried yet.
Hookahhottie
I have tried many brands of of shisha ( Al Waha, Al-Amir, Saet Safa, Nakhla, HookahHookah) and I can honestly say, without a doubt, that the double apple in the HookahHookah brand is by far the BEST. I found out that it is made with honey rather than molasses; reducing the sticky, dry-mouth after taste you get with molasses. It is also made with the cut of tobacco from the top of the plant rather than the left overs from the bottom. It also comes in resealable jars- no drying out. King Mo
Fakher double apple is probably the best imho. Romman was pretty good. Nakhla is the best of the budget brands and has it's appeal. Havana Special apple is quite a funky flavour, and certainly has it's place.
Soup
I did quite enjoy the Nakhla double apple. It is a bit more on the apple side of things. The AF two apple is more anise, I love it!
