Acclimating Other Brands? Necessary?

Recommended Posts

I've been reading that sometimes a lot of you guys will acclimate your tobacco no matter what brand it is. Does it really make a big difference? I tend to be very cautious about keeping my shisha in an airtight container as much as possible to retain moisture but am I better off acclimating if it doesn't smell or taste right?

I live in Colorado by the way. Averages -20 - 28 degrees at my house, extremely dry air.

If it doesn't smell or taste right then yes, I would acclimate for just a couple of hours, not days like Tangiers.

Mush and Eric say that all unwashed tobaccos should be acclimated. I'm currently acclimating Nakhla Mizo Grape and DA. I've definitely noticed a stronger smell since I put it out 5 hours ago.
