AKammenzind
Also known as Mushrat's dirt. I tried three flavors: Plain, Spicy Apple, and Roohafza. I mixed a little glycerine with them to improve the clouds, but only a tiny bit... from the results I think it would've smoked alright without it. They all had a very smooth tobacco taste to them, with some spicyness in the background... spicy apple was this with a slight bit of anise, and fruityness, and roohafza had a sweet rose flavor to it as well. Really good tasting stuff if you like tobacco, and even if you don't I'd give it a shot: we had a friend along who doesn't like plain tobacco and she loved the taste. The clouds were great, I added just the right amount of glycerine for storm-clouds, so that's no surprise. What DID surprise me was how strong the buzz was. Was not expecting that. The quick'n'dirty for those who always read the bottom of a post first anyways: The buzz from this stuff makes Tangiers and Nakhla seem like complete pansy smokes. Full-body buzz for two regular smokers, and three hits till an infrequent smoker felt her toes go numb.

Heat management is great, it got a little harsh once, but it didn't alter the taste much (already tasted like tobacco). QUOTE (Fluffy @ Jan 16 2009, 04:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>dose this stuff have honey and molases and glycerin in it?Couldn't tell you what exactly is in it, but I would assume it has at least honey or molasses in it, and couldn't say for glycerin (though I added some myself just to get it to smoke better). If you're asking if it's a shisha, then the answer is yes... sort of. It's like a tobacco paste with little bits of what look like leaf veins in it. Looks like they took the leaves, ground them up, and mixed it well with something wet (molasses, honey, water?). I tried taking a pic, but it didn't come out well enough to be worth posting. It's... moist, not at all sticky. Basically it just looks like really good dark brown soil with bits of twigs... also sort of resembles cow shit, only crumbly dry and much less fibrous. And it smells worlds better, hahaha.

JDHarding
I just got my order of Desi Murli Watermelon..This stuff both tastes and smells awesome.. I'd love to just burn some of this as incense. It's so sweet and nice smelling. Almost like the tobacco they used in it was sweet.Haven't gotten a buzz off of it yet, though. But I've only been smoking if for a few minutes now.. lol.
JDHarding
Trying plain flavored now.. wow.. if you want something tobacco flavored, this is the stuff..Starting to feel a buzz.. it's nice..
JDHarding
I laid this stuff out to try acclimating it, and it looks a lot like soex herbal shisha. There's twigs and wood and crap in it. It looks nothing like my other shishas that are acclimating. And while smoking it it tastes a lot like herbal shisha too. Somebody messed up. Hippo_Master
I have not found a stem yet in all of my 500 grams. The consistency is more literally like wet dirt. it's crumbly, and wet (not sticky). I add glycerin and honey to it, before I smoke.
JDHarding
Where'd you buy it from?Mine is moist, clumpy, and sticky.
mitchard
I think I might be ordering some soon. Plain and Roohafza sound interesting.
ColibriDon
I just ordered some Plain, Khus (No idea what this is but I'm curious), and Spicy Apple. All for 15 bucks without shipping? Not bad if this stuff smokes well. I also ordered some Cleopatra Mint just because I have never seen/noticed it before and the one review on it is promising. Thanks for the heads up on this stuff. Hippo_Master
I only get it from Hookah1. To my knowledge, it's the only place that sells it. The flavored stuff is wetter than normal, but still no stems. Spicy Apple and Khus (pronounced "cuss") are my favorite.

Hojo
I am really interested in trying this out, but I have a few questions:How exactly should I pack/prepare this? How much honey should I add, assuming I am going to be using a small Phunnel? Is this a high-heat or low-heat shisha, i.e. how many Cocos should I use? How many holes should I use in the foil and how big should the holes be?A video would be awesome (nudge, nudge), pictures would be great, and answers would be cool, too. I REALLY want to try this, because the price, the buzz, and the authenticity of it all is pretty promising.
Bulldog_916
http://www.hookah-life.com/events_6.htmThis pretty much tells you the process for moassels like Desi. I used it for Nakhla, but found that the black strap gave me headaches. So I switched it out for honey. Been golden ever since.
