Purplepotatoe
I acclimated my tangiers to where it tasted/smelled good, but now smell is almost entirely gone, and the taste is garbage (sorta hard to explain the taste). I live in Indiana and the weather changes alot, with varying humidity. Ive tried to just attempt to acclimate it again to no real difference. Anyone else have similiar issues? Also anything I can do to be able to smoke it agian? Going to re-re acclimate it agian once I hit post.
Bulldog_916
Are you sure you arent talking about relative humidity as opposed to absolute humidity? The difference is key.

It's the absolute humidity that determines whether or not your shisha is acclimated. Absolute humidity can be measured as the Dew Point. Relative humidity fluctuates as the temperature goes up and down. If you acclimate 24 hours measuring relative humidity, you would never in your life get your shisha acclimated. Temperature always fluctuates throughout the day. After roughly 24 hours your shisha should be acclimated with the absolute humidity (if the dew point doesnt move erratically) and therefore ready to smoke. I dont necessarily think it's an acclimation issue. But if you acclimate again and it solves the problem, then hooray. But I personally think it's something else. Purplepotatoe
I forgot about this post, but im still looking for an answer. With the humidity aside what can I do to be able to smoke this again? The smell now is 100% gone. I just packed a bowl of one of them with some honey added to see if dryness was the issue as it did seem to be that way, with some improvement in taste, but its still not what its supposed to be. I do think i added way to much though.

VdubGTI
Tangiers should never be dry, am I right? The stuff I have is dripping...

Purplepotatoe
orange soda/green apple candy/sour None of the 3 have a strong smell. The orange soda/green apple have no smell at all. Ive also tried all 3 since this happened, all taste the same. And on the dryness thing ive personally never had a very wet tangiers.
mitchard
Orange Soda and Green Apple Candy had very strong smells for me. More so the GAC though. It did take awhile to acclimate though. Probably the better part of a week. The soda was fairly quick though, at a day or so. Both were fairly wet.
