Peaches09
My major is logistics and supply chain management, there are more nerdish degrees that I could get, but this one pays well and is in high demand.I haven't played music in years, but I did play the trombone, electric bass, and upright bass. Dr. B
Rant: I just out of Hobby Lobby in San Marcos and took some Aleve for the headache it gave me. NOTHING is organized there. I asked a few employees where to begin looking for such a "vase" and the extent of their help was finding out it wasn't going to be in Paints, Fabrics, Arts & Crafts, or Picture Frames. I circled the store for over an hour looking, but found nothing. I don't know if they don't have it or I just couldn't find it.The purpose of this reply is just to ask: Where in the store did yall find them? the only floral vases in the flower section were clear and traditional and the rest of the vases weren't seperated by glass/clay/ceramic. I think I looked everywhere, but I don't know for sure. Did yall find them grouped together in all different colors? in different color-coded sections? I don't even think they catagorize anything. It's like a thrift store for ADD housewives. They walk in bored and looking for something to decorate with. It's impossible to shop there with a product in mind.

Obviously the store manager needs to join the ranks of the unemployed if they can't run an operation better than that. The one near me is really nice and organized for a store that large with so many different products. When I am having trouble looking for something the peeps at the counter have gone as far as going with me and finding it.
MrMoodz
QUOTE (Scalliwag @ Jan 21 2009, 02:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I found these a while back there for $7 and waited for them to go on sale. Every few weeks they go on sale for 50% off. So today I loaded up the colors. They didn't have a red... but I'll get one eventually. So if you have a local Hobby Lobby and a QT ya oughta check them out.Hey there Scalli. My wife happened to drive by a hobby lobby and she picked me up one of these!!! It's a really nice looking ruby red. It's hard to tell from the pics because of the lighting. Anyways, I was really surprised to see this waiting for me when I got home from work. Dang Tiz you sound closer to my age than by far most of the other folks here. Poor guy! HA!!! The copper reducer fitting looks the nicest of the parts there. A 1-1/2" copper pipe cap would work. You could drill the right sized holes for whatever material you were using for the downpipe and hose to attach. It would definately be a fun project. Not worth it from a time/effort standpoint but that's not always the point in playing around with this kinda thing anyways.
