SilentBob
I have a buddy I was stationed with in Virginia, his wife one night decides to take a baseball bat to his computer...while he's using it. She then goes after him with the bat (mind you this guy joined after leaving the special task force of his town's PD). He disarms her and holds her away from him. He has bruises and a cut when the police get there. She admits to the police she attacked him and all he did was disarm her. The police arrest him, notify our command who revokes his security clearance (it's policy) which means he can't do his job either. The prosecutor refuses to drop the charges because in VA the wife or gf doesn't have a say in whether the prosecute or not. Luckily the judge found him not guilty. Ain't that some BS? K1024
thats ridiculous...I'm pretty sure if she didn't want to press charges then he shouldn't be in any kind of trouble.though i can see that happening in a bad abuse case, where the woman refuses to press charges because she doesn't want to get in any more trouble. Ain't that some BS?That is not only a VA policy, that is the meat of Biden's VAWA. Once a report is made the police are compelled to arrest someone (guess who) and the prosecutors have a mandate to prosecute regardless of witness statement, either at the scene or if she recants, and says she made it up out of spite. Time to start paying a lawyer, and pray for the best.K1024, you are in a dream world. federal law says someone with a bruise, someone goes to jail. She doesn't have to make a report, the cop does. Welcome to some change.
