That New Hookah Smell

Is anyone else turned off by the smell of a new hookah? I don't know if it's the hose or the metal or the vase, but it stinks of new smell. It's difficult to smoke out of something so new and clean. Is there a way to wash this smell off besides regular usage?

The easiest way would be to give it a nice thorough clean, just scrub it really well, maybe use a tiny bit of dishsoap, other than that I can't think of anything.

Maybe just smoke a really strong flavor like mint, that would take away that clean smell in moments.

baking powder is good at getting bad smells out; or any smells for that matter. washing ur hookah with that should be fine too

With any new hookah I always rinse it out with some water and lemon juice... but really I just do that for good measure. I've never noticed anything in the smell of a brand new hookah that turns me off or affects the taste of my first smokes out of it.

Use lemon juice in the stem with a brush. Give it a good scrubbing 2-3 times, and that will fix that. Get the base clean too using dish soap. I clean all pipes out of the box like this and it gets all the oils, grit, grease, etc. out of there.
