Mya Cloisonne Hose Question

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to replace the hose for my mya, but their website is confusing me. I know that what I want is a brown cloisonne hose, but there three different versions available, each with a different picture. Within the pictures they all look similar enough, but the resolution is small enough that it's hard to tell for sure.
first there's "CLOISONNE LEATHER HOSE" at $18. The best deal, but it makes me think there must be a catch.
then there's "MYA CLOISONNE HOSE" at $25 and "MYA Cloisonne Hose" also at $25 but marked down from $30.

Is this some sort of strange marketing gimmick? I don't want to pay more than I need to, but I also don't want to buy an older version of the hose if they've since upgraded.

Here's the difference I believe:

Swirl Cloisonne Handle

Striped Cloisonne Handle (Like the Obelisk Stem)

Floral Cloisonne Handle (Like the Bambino Stem)

I actually have this same dilemma, or did until I started using Grand hoses lately. The brown striped cloisonne is very hard to find, I asked John if he had any and he didn't, h-s is pretty much permanently out of stock of them, and while MNH does have brown cloisonne I believe it's of the floral imprint variety. That would be your best bet, I imagine--try contacting mnh and seeing if they can check on specifics for you.

Ok..I carry all of those so allow me to clarify.

Hoses 1,2, and 4 are smaller diameter handles. (note handles, not hoses) The cloisene is either flat or in the case of the ridged one, textured. The handles Will unscrew from the hoses and can have the hose part replaced when they rust out and you don't have to buy an entirely new hose.

Picture number 3, the $25 handles are about half again as thick and are deeply textured. You could knock a guy out with the handles on the 25 buck hoses. They are quite solid and fairly heavy. They also can be unscrewed from the hose for easy replacement.

That help any?
