I might be traveling around a bit and I am finally about run out of my box of Golden's and I was wondering what everyone's favorite quicklight is for traveling.

Please no, "GO NATURAL" comments. It's taken me what 3 years to knock out this box of Golden's and I blow through 1 or 2 boxes of cocos a month.

I am just interested what the favorite quicklight is nowadays.

I bought some of johns coals about 2 months or so ago, and damn, what a bargain. Im just now getting the box done. I think the price to quality is unmatched. You get the best of QL's and naturals with these babys. I will never use another kind of QL again.

When I'm not near a burner I use 3-Kings, they're actually not too bad at all but you may want to light them outside or on a balcony. Johns CH Quicklights look good too but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

3k, easy to score and light, lasts a decent while, and you can find them cheap if you know where to look. It doesnt hurt to get em for a buck a roll I must say.

I've tried the CH QLs and they were good but they ashed funky and lit light road flares.

In my opinion I like 3kings over the ch ql's. But than again I am not a huge fan of the ch ql's simply because I thought they put out too much heat (1 wasnt enough and 2 was too much). Anyway if you are smoking indoors with ql's 3kings are def. better as the Ch ql's go up in flames literally.

Used to use goldens. They best I had used at the time. I used them last night for the first time in awhile and I really dont like them anymore. I might get a box of CH QLs next time I order from John to try them out though. I would like to have some QLs around so I don't have the bring my burner and everything if I travel.

I agree with this completely. I use the CH quicklights with shisha that is less heat sensitive. 3 kings if I have something that is more picky.

Golden is what is readily available so when in times of trouble I guess that is what I'm stuck with. But Recently I tried Soex 33mm Ql's and they were pretty damned good compared to other qls. They were rock solid so there was no crumbling. The ash stuck to the surface of the coal so it didn't make a mess and I didnt taste anything but shisha.

I am really surprised that 3K is in the lead. those are the only coals that have ever exploded on me. Maybe I got a bad roll.

three kings. because they are made here in holland and therefore i can get them very cheap locally (6 euros a box). but i only use them outside when i don`t have the oppertunity to light naturals. my favorite natural coals are tom cocochas which are also very cheap (only 7 euros for 3 kilos).
