Not your typical question. A lot of us have our favorite natural Coals. CH, Coconara, and Exotica Leading the pack. Not all of us have tried them though. Some us have tried all 3. But if you were going to grab a box or bag of natural coals, which NEW brand would you try?

I've already tried the leading three, and I have had a so-so experience with Lemonwood coals. So I think i'll just go with the Al Awa'el. Heard a lot of good thing about them.

I saw some of the Nour wood coals locally though. I might have to pick those up sometime.

I voted for Exoticas...never had them and heard pretty good things about them (not just on this forum locally as well...if only the guy I talked too carries them again.)

I hope you have a rug down under where you smoke. They started falling apart before they were off of the burner.

Well I shoulda posted before I got them I guess but I picked up a box of coconaros and love those. They are really dense. I'm not real crazy about the price but as I use them I will get a better feel on the value.
That said I am not sure what the next naturals I want to try may be. I've not researched them at least at any level I could call "research". So I'm open for recommendations. Especially if there is something as high or higher quality than coconaros at a lower cost.
I don't like the inconsistent shapes of lump coal. I like coals to rest flat on the foil. The size and shape of the cocos are perfect for how I like setting up a bowl.
