My SaharaSmoke Harem Hookah

Recommended Posts

God that thing was be FUN to clean/maintain... I just want to know how
one goes about filling it with water, and where the water goes.
Obviously the best place would be the big bulge area, but with lighting
in there, I would think that could be pretty risky..

Very cool stuff though. Are you the one puffing?

Well, it is a decorational piece now. Not strictly, but I'm going to only light it up on special occasions. The special occasion pictured was the day I got it. The whole bottom part (from about a foot above the lamp and below) is all for show, no functionality. It's basically just a huge base for the actual functional hookah, which starts at the bottom of what looks like the stem. It only comes apart into two parts, the stem unscrews from the base right above where the hoses are inserted, and you can pour water in through there. It takes about a quart of water. It smokes pretty nicely. In essence its just about a 3 and a half foot hookah, with a 2 foot decorative base underneath. It is like a miniature sphinx (either that or the sphinx isn't actually seven feet tall. anyone have one?). It's the same thing, but it's only 5'7" and i'm only 5'5" so I think it's better for me. I just couldn't help but buy it when SaharaSmoke.com had one with a dented base (hammered out by me in less than five minutes) and sold it to me for 99 bucks. Can't beat that.
As for me, it is me smoking it, and I'm told I'm not compensating for anything, and I think my girlfriend's word is better than mine when it comes to that :)
Lastly, if anyone in the NJ area ever wants to try it out, or just get together and smoke, please drop me an IM on AIM at throughsmokyeyes. I've got a 44 inch rotator, the mini-sphinx, a 32 inch abyss, and a 22 inch acrylic mya, and i have a group of people over smoking the hookah (and usually jamming a bit) every night, and always looking for more, so get in touch.

Hmm. He sounds really really familiar. When did he go there, and what was he like? I was only there for one year, 2003-2004 schoolyear, but the name definitely sounds familiar.

I wouldn't pay the $349 that SaharaSmoke charges for it, or the $549 that SocialSmoke charges for the seven foot version, however for the $99 i paid for it (it was damaged in shipping to SaharaSmoke so they sold it discounted, but it only had one dent which i easily hammered out) it is definitely worth it.
