Question On This New Hole Technique

Recommended Posts

so last night i want to this place called Carthage lounge for all you Chicago-ans its on foster in the city near Lawrence. by far the best hookah i'v had he used a regular mod bowl slightly over packed and with a pretty neat hole pattern. the bowl lasted 3 hours and i only had to use 1 ql at a time. great billowing smoke the whole time. ok anyway I'm going back this week to watch them pack it in front of my own eyes il take pics of it but in the mean time this is the pattern. I think he used a toothpick and not too many holes.

sorry i guess i wanted to know what you guys thought.. later on i was thinking he used a vortex bowl maybe. cuz it was over packed and what not.. the bowl stayed full and flavorful even the starbuzz was crazy flavorful. so what do you think vortex or a regular mod bowl can actually be this good??

I think with good packing (doesn't matter how you do it as long as it works) and even better heat management, you can get a great smoke from pretty much any bowl you so desire.

It just requires practice, practice.

Seeing how fast the hookah product industry progresses, really Vortex bowls took of and flew sky high in a very short ammount of time. Here in our corner of the Middle-East we use the Chinese bowls that were standard until just a few years back. I'm hoping to see them sold here, as shisha is sold on the streets locally everywhere!
I've been seeing hole patterns for a long time each person has the right combination for their various coals, shisha brands and bowls.

Well I just gave this a whirl on a regular Mya bowl with my Mya Razo and the results weren't spectacular, I packed it a bit tighter than usual and did your hole pattern with 1 QL.

Perhaps I did it a bit wrong, I'll try again once you update us.
