delSol_si
So I was kinda thinking about a way to smoke shisha without having to mess with coals anymore. I was thinking maybe if you could just something, heat it up and let it sit on the bowl. I know awhile back, someone introduced something that you plug in and set on the bowl that acts as a charcoal but no one could get one because they only sold them by the thousand. Well, check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Blue-Travel-Equipm...%3A1%7C294%3A50 I know it may sound really dumb, but do you think this could work? Just plug it in and set it on the bowl...though I don't know if it will get hot enough. I know I personaly have put my hand the bottom of an iron just to see what happens and it burned like hell, so maybe it would work? Plus, there would be no fumes from the charcoal to inhale! MeHT
There's just one big problem with electric coal substitutes - heat management. It's either too hot or too cold. And coals heat up as you puff air through them, then quickly cool down a bit - I don't think the same effect is possible to achieve with electric coals. Zinite
Search youtube.com for 'Electric Hookah Heater'. Someone from another forum did a review of one of them. Terrible to say the least.
zeppyrkr
hmm thats actually prolly the most realistic and practical approach to it, has control and you should be able to heat manage it by moving it around, having half on half off, ect. i may get one to experiment with for 10 bucks? and that video review wasn't that bad, the thing is that other one is like a wind cover plus a bowl size coal lol naturally it overheats??
