smokersteve
Hello, this is my first time posting, but i have cruised the forums for a long time now. I just bought a new hookah and it smokes great! I love it to death, the only problem is that is seems that the grommets for the hose aren't staying in the setting. I tried pushing them in there really tight and then pushing in the hose tightly also, but after 5 or 10 min it pops out again. My friends suggested I use a dremmel and make notches in the hose end, but I think that they are stupid, and I dont want to hurt my hose. You guys have any suggestions for slipper grommets? Cerritus
You can try sanding down the grommets. Are you sure they're hose grommets and not bowl grommets?
TheSl0th
this used to happen on my mya abyss. make sure that the grometts and hose port are 100% dry and try sanding down the inside/outside of teh grommet to create more friction. should help. if all else fails, a little duct tape never hurt anyone. AKammenzind
I have no problem with using moist paper towel, but maybe that's just me. I've had too many problems with grommets before, not fitting certain hoses/bowls/stems and anymore if a grommet doesn't work right I say fuck it and use paper towel... it only takes a few seconds more, and it'll work. I was amazed the first time i tried how well it sealed my hose port.
