mitchard
My brother told me about this earlier today. He just about shit his pants. He loves them. The band would be 100x better if Tom Delonge stopped singing. There, I said it.

I think they've all grown up a little bit and even though they'll have fun with being back in Blink it'll be a bit more serious then it was with the first few cd's. I mean look at the music they are putting out these day's anyways, Tom has matured quite a bit with Angels & Airwaves, and Travis/Mark did amazing things with Plus 44. cotsi95
Dont forget boxcar racer. I actually like the spin off bands better then blink itself....is that bad?
MeHT
Really, as far as commercial "punk" rock is concerned, Blink is just popular. Not good. Just, you know... popular. There are way better bands to fill that musical niche, IMO.
joytron
its all bad.... very very bad. i think anyone here that enjoys blink 182 is coincidentally admitting that they are 13 years old and should not be on a hookah forum to begin with... let the banning commence

Disliking the band is one thing but generalizing the fan base they have down to being 13 year olds that dont belong on here is just ridiculous. Blink 182 and the spin off bands that have come from them have done wonderful things for an entire generation of music, they've single handedly influnced possibly millions of kids to pick up musical instruments which lays down the foundation of another generation of music for you to enjoy, and frankly until you manage to sell a few platinum records and accomplish all that they have you have no business demeaning the band or the fans they have.... Hell I would settle for hearing you put out a single decent song which i'm guessing is less the likely to happen...

joytron
no i mean i completely agree i have no music talent, but the difference is i had the self restrain not to make a CD. Travis Barker is a talented drummer, its to bad he wasted on a bunch of overprivelaged middle school kids in the suburbs. As to doing wonderfull things to state of music I am sure i will enjoy the offspring of the pop punk genre just as much as i enjoyed it the first time aroind
linebacker131
Seriously dude you don't need to come bashing if you dont like them then you dont have to say shit and i bet when they first came around you did like them. Then they got all main stream and everyone wants to hate on them well fuck off they have made some very good music if you like it or not it has influenced and still does influence kids to do and to not do a lot of things. Also just cuz it might not be your "type: of music dosnt mean you have to go bashing it at least give them some kinda respect for having the ball to go out there in the first place... Pretty Fly for a White Guy?? Being in that movie 'idle hands' freaking sell outs, haha. Their first album was amazing, and the second was ok, after that they were garbage. Same thing as blink 182, Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch were pretty decent, after that they sucked. If you want to listen to real decent pop punk listen to the descendents or like D4 or something. As for dillinger 4, i dont see how they are poppunk, they are what blink182 wishes they would have been (minus C I V I L W A R)
ebarnes02
I think we just define 'pop-punk' in different terms.
