Arcane
So, I've watched HookahJohn's youtube video where he packs Nakhla the same way he packs Tangiers. But, I'm confused now. All over this forum and other websites, people stress that you're not supposed to let the foil touch the tobacco. But, the way he packs the Nakhla and even Tangiers...it can't help but touch because the smoke will get harsh. What makes this method acceptable with Nakhla or Tangiers, but not other shisha? Stuie
All my shisha touches the foil. Not Harsh it doesn't burn, it cooks.
Scoop
touching the foil doesn't make tobacco burn. it has the same effect as if you dont
SimplexCoda
i have only seen like 5 people here say that foil touching the tobacco is bad. I use a glass screen and that gets way way way hotter than foil (at it seems to me) and my tobacco touches it all the time and doesnt burn. Never burned when touching foil either. If people are burning tobacco and blaming the foil touching the tobacco, thats called passing the buck. It will only burn if a person doesnt manage their heat good enough. mattarios2
I find if way too much shisha is touching the foil, like over packing too much, then at times it will burn or lemme re-phrase it will be easier to burn, but at the end of all of my sessions with glass or foil, the entire bowl of shisha is stuck the top glass or foil, a nice black puck. inino
if juice is bubbling out of the holes on your foil, then i think its over packed : ). lol but there is no harm in letting tobacco touch foil. if there is too much of a gap between shisha and foil it might not even smoke good actually. Fluffy
if its touching the foil it will be easer to burn, and if it dose burn its your own damn falt
chinamon
i have always packed my bowl to the point where the tobacco is higher than the edge of the bowl before i put the foil on.. which means the tobacco is definitely touching the foil. never had a problem with burning. if it does burn then it is just because you are using too much heat.
