Fireglo
I'm finding it impossible to find one in hardware stores in Dublin and online that ship to Europe. Walgreen's seem to be the only place that sell them and won't ship. Can anyone offer any help as to how to a) where I can find one or b)alternative methods to lighting coal?Regards,Fireglo

bobo_piggy
Nazarhookah carries electric coil burner for you. They can ship to Europe but you may pay expensive shipping cost (maybe twice of single coil burners' price ). Why don't you use portable gas stove? I think It's easy to find in your local stores. I think It's easy to find in your local stores. Those won't work in europe because of the voltage diference. In europe you have only three options:1 - You use quick lite coals;2 - You light your naturals in a gas stove;3 - You buy an electric coil burner from germany. You can buy it in www.shisha-net.deOption number 3 is quite expensive though

Majid
I feel your pain man. Would a hot plate type of thing work? It's not a coil burner but a local home supply shop should carry it.
4d1ct3d
Well I had one and I say i had because it broke after only a couple of months using it for lighting cocos. Also, it takes way too long to light cocos on those (15min minimum) even with the foil method. I think tah with japanese coals it would take less time. But it also automaticaly switches itself off when it reaches an high temperature which sucks. So, I really don't recomend hot plates to light coals. Oh and they are really expensive too. About 25€. I would just invest in either john's CH instant lite coals or the electric coil burner I mentioned before.
AzZ
Well for Coco's your best option is using a blowtorch. I use a Bernzomatic one and nothing else i've tried gets 'em done quicker. Your other option is to use the quick lighting Coconut coals from Hookah John
