Lemonjello
Hey guys, when I purchased a really nice hookah from a local headshop there was a leak in the stem. I made a nice temporary fix with some electrical tape, but it looks like crap. Does anyone have experience with fixes for problems like this? We were talking about using some solder since it is a silver stem (like most), but we were not sure if it would "stick" well enough. Another option we considered was puddy cement or something similar to that. Thoughts?
Scalliwag
Without seeing it I lean towards plumber's epoxy. It is a two-part epoxy that you knead for a few minutes and has the consistency of bubble gum. Let it cure about 24 hours no matter if the instructions say it does not take that long. Once you pack the epoxy into place don't wobble the stem or you may eff up the seal before it even cures.

thehelios
Use the JB Weld. Easy to use and also let sit for at least 24 hours. I would say no to the epxoy just for the fact that it doesn't mesh well for the metal look, eventhough most won't even be seeing it.

The two components are even the same color as plumbers putty.
