fcbayern
So I'm really new to this, but I've decided to order a KM for my first hookah. I've done some searching on this site and on a lot of vendors sites. It seems like very site has a different name, size, picture, of KM pipes. How on earth do you know you are really getting an authentic piece. For example 1 website I looked at really ssems to have a nice selection of KM hookahs but the bases on their stuff look very different from many of the other sites. PLus they seem to offer the same bases for sale seperatly and there is no mention of them being KM.I know it is tough to endorse any particular vendor on this site, I would just like to know I'm getting what I paid for.thanx for da help.. Stuie
Links would help, but from what I understand KM rarely names their hookahs so the sellers end up naming them, and for the most part sites will pick up the same naming scheme. Some companies will put on different bases to lower the cost and sell the original KM Base separate

NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
another thing is to buy from a reputable source online..one who wouldnt want to hurt his name and will go all out for you to make you happy..and that to me is john http://www.hookahjohn.com/main.sc
Hobbs
Some of my prefered vendors are hookahjohn.com and hookahcompany.com, I got my KM from Hookah Company and you can definitely tell that is it authentic, same would go for Hookah John.Like Stuie said, some links would help - but you can also check the vendor reviews section and pretty much anyone listed in there has the forums seal of approval. Bad/dishonest vendors have been banned for the most part.

Do u think the piece is authentic? I looked at most of the other vendors mentioned,, no other vender has a KM that looks like that 1..
inino
for the most part, when vendors get their hookahs the bases and stems come seperately. sometimes they well pair them up other times they will offer you color options. the stems are top notch, so any base that matches will do. i think hookah company has base color options, maybe other sites as well. you really cant tell if its a KM vase, becuase some of them come with KM stamped on top some dont. fcbayern
Does the vase have much to do with how the hookah smokes,, I wouldnt figure it does.. am I incorrect in assuming that?

inino
generally no. however one time i had one of those genie style vases that are really wide on the bottom and narrow on top. it restricted the smoke a little. but with regular bases its all about preference looks wise.
