JDHarding
Yay I'm no longer banned! Note to mods: Seriously, you guys need to maybe warn the new people with first offences. I woulda edited and changed the "naughty word" no problem.Anyway, my order came in. I got my Nammor Hose with fancy hose tip, wind cover, diffuser, Tangiers Lucid Blue Gumball, Nakhla Two Apples, Potion Watermelon, and Coco Nara coals.Okay, first off.. what is wrong with Hookah-Shisha.com's Tangiers Lucid BGB?? Do they have a whole stock of bad batches? When first opened, this smelt like a mix of burnt beef jerky and soy sauce. After 24 hours of acclimation it now smells like burnt black licorice and soy sauce. I tried to smoke it and almost threw up. It wasn't harsh, it was just plain nasty flavored. Did they forget to put the flavoring in this?Onto Nakhla Two Apples.. wow. Good stuff. No headache, though I did get a nice smooth buzz. Flavor was like most two apple flavors, but with a hint of mintyness in it. Or maybe spicyness?Potion Watermelon.. yuck. Smells chemically, tastes chemically.Coco Nara coals.. niiiiiice. No smell, burn hot, very cool. My previous problems with them are gone thanks to a new coil portable burner. Hot plates SUCK!Nammor hose with fancy hose tip.. simply awesome, man. Not a whole lot of rubber taste in this one, and only after washing it with just plain water.. once. Very good stuff.Taj Wind Cover.. haven't tried yet, but the inside is completely rusted. It came rusted! Not sure what the deal is with that.
SixPackSunday
or you could have read the rules like you were supposed to and not said it at all? its not like that single rule isnt CRAZY stressed at every point. nice pickup btw.
mattarios2
no the mods don't need to change anything, you needa read the rules. about the BGB let it acclimate for a while, when it smells good, smoke it.
JDHarding
I acclimated it for 24 hours.. it smells like crap.
mattarios2
then continue to wait.patience is a virtue.
JDHarding
Mmm.. I dunno if waiting will help it much. It smells a little sweeter after 24 hours, but wow.. I dunno if it'll ever be smokable.
Tom1
It will be, I've had tangiers that smelled like liquor and bbq sauce for a few days.
SixPackSunday
i was not a bgb fan at all. so i dont think acclimating it will help at all.
JDHarding
I'll leave the bag open and see what happens after a week.
Arcane
i thought the lucid line didn't need much if any acclimation?

inino
if you are going on 6 days i dont think its ever going to acclimate. i would wait until spring or summer when the humidity is different. it will probably dry out first.
Tuscani
I had my last order of regular Tangiers BGB sit out on a sheet of tin foil for 2 days b4 I smoked it... went well, still not a huge fan of it though.

Every other flavor acclimates in a few hours, but BGB is just silly.

Put it on foil and spread it ALL out, stir it every few hours.
mitchard
Sientbob had some BGB and it seemed like it acclimated nicely up here. Smoked great, but the flavor wasn't strong. But I guess thats just how it is?

Bulldog_916
Who ever told you that needs to try smoking shisha a little more and maybe smoking water a little less. That's just crazy. I've had pieces of tobacco out on a table for several days and still picked it up and had it be really moist. You could put a little piece of shisha out for 5 days and have it still be moist when you pick it up. Trust me on this.
ebarnes02
I usually put it right into the container i'm going to keep it in, stir it up, and just leave the lid over it 50% of the way. Check it every so often, stir it up every couple hours. BGB has a smell that is really hard to place, it doesn't distinctly smell like anything and it is fairly mild. So if it starts to smell slightly candy-ish you're on your way.
