Reusing Unfinished Bowls?

So I was wondering if anyone ever reuses bowls that they've started smoking and then had to stop for some reason. Whenever I have people over and set my hookah up, I load a huge bowl (because its usually 5-6 people smoking it) and then 15 minutes later everyone leaves, and I'm stuck with a 1/10th finished bowl. I feel its a waste to throw it all away, but it seems nasty to relight the bowl.

So I guess my question is has anyone ever done it, and if so was there a bad taste or was it fine?

i don't, i pack small bowls so i can smoke the entire thing and then switch 2 other flavors.

but many do it without any problems.

It's not a cigar, there won't be that nasty aftersmoke smell. I do it if I forget about the hookah for a while and the coals give ouit faster than the sheesha.

I can never finish a bowl of Tangiers. Even after 3 hours of smoking, there's still a perfectly juicy layer at the bottom. I throw it back into the container and mix it in.

I never do it, but I've heard of people packing a funnel bowl and waiting till the next day to smoke it. That's not necessarily reusing it, but funnels are probably the only bowl that is reusable. Regular bowls would drip juices out of them.

Thats the same "problem" I have, and I always just throw the rest away. Next time Ill just pick out the burnt tobacco and throw the rest back in the container.

If it's tangiers and it doesn't have that odd smell., then yes.

All the time with my funnel bowls, I'll smoke through one set of coals, wait a few hours, and smoke it again later. I can sometimes get 3 smokes from my small funnel, usually 3 sometimes 4 from my medium. Depends alot on the baccy you use too, Tangiers is what I normally smoke, most other stuff usually burns out sooner. For egyptian bowls, I've only ever smoke one of those twice, I had a session that was cut short, so I set the bowl upside down on a paper towel until I could come back to it, and finish it. Worked well. It is definitely possible to re-use a bowl, if you're concerned just open it up, peek inside and see if it's really spent or if you have plenty of fresh sheesha in there.

I used to, but then my Tangiers Blueberry started tasting odd. I havent done it since. I just dont want the burned flavor infiltrating the rest of my unsmoked shisha.

A lot of the time we smoke half a bowl... sometimes I'll relight it, but if I have a lot of tobacco around I'll normally just pack a new one. There's nothing like the flavour of a fresh bowl.

agreed .... ive tried it a couple time one a bowl i am smoking and i just take off the top layer and the bottom still looks juicy so i mix it with bew tabacoo but tastes like a cashed out bowl with more flavor

For non Tangiers, I do some times. If I smoke one set of coals before I goto bed, I will usually smoke that bowl the next morning also.

With Tangiers I often scrape off the top and add more to the bowl, seems like Tangiers can last forever and thats what I love about it.

i usually smoke 2 sets of coals...sometimes with a few hours in between..and i get good flavor out of them pretty regularly.

You could always try supersubby's idea.

i learned a neat trick at a very traditional hookah lounge, there was a nice old man from egypt tending to the hookahs so you didn't have to deal with the fuss of coal and such...anyway.. he taught me a trick to keep the bowls life. he took a toothpick or pin and stuck it in one of the holes that was previously in the bowl and just swirled it around so the shisha got mixed up so you don't waste any shisha and you get like 2hr+ sessions...

i actually take the foil off give it a nice stir to get the juices flowing again and light it back up..always works fine..

I reuse them, but my sessions don't last long so not much is burnt on the first round.

I will usually save the leftovers if I don't smoke a bowl of tangiers all the way through, I usually won't bother doing it with anything else.

ABS shisha I save the moist stuff and reuse it when I get low on fresh shisha

If I used a phunnel, and the shisha isn't burnt to shit, I will often reuse a bowl another day.

Depends on what it is but I am not against relighting a still good bowl
