I don't get it. Flowers are possibly the worst symbol of love....ever. What the hell do you do with a flower...you put it in a vase with some water, look at it for a few days, then when it gets brown and gross you throw it away!!!!! WTF! Seriously, what a better symbol of true love than something that you only get because it's pretty. You might as well say, "when you're shriveled and old, I'm getting rid of you"So don't get her a flower...unless its a potted one...and a perennialDon'y worry I know what you can give her. Give the love of your life a fucking potato. You know why? potatos are fucking awesome. What happens to a potato over time...fucking nothing. The thing is nuts. I mean, its not the best looking vegetable, but unless you're dating keira knightley, neither is she (I have a girl crush on keira knightley). And what happens to a potato over time, you put it in a dark capinet for awhile and go back later and you know what? It's growing more shit!!! Fantastic! A potato says, "I know we will have some bad times, but they'll make out love stronger...and grow shit." I left a bag of potatoes in my house for a couple of months in a cabinet under our kitchen island. I know, it's gross but that house is abandoned 9 months out of the year so no one noticed. When I came back 3-4 months later, I opened the cabinet to get some soda and I was nearly knocked over by how bad it smelled. It's worth noting that I grew up on a farm and can take most bad smells like nothing. I almost lost it when I found those potatoes. They had started to rot and turn to liquid. It was nasty. Took me nearly an hour to get everything clean and smelling nice again. As far as the diamonds go, I agree with you that diamonds are plain but that is their beauty. They are simple, elegant and never gaudy (With few exceptions). They go with everything. While I think a nice ruby or white opal is far more beautiful, I fully understand the allure of the diamond. Also, GNU, roses are hard to grow. My mom grew a lot of them and they take a lot of care and attention to grow properly.
