Recommended Posts

ok, ive searched this forum and a few others and ive read 1000 opinions on how to pack and how to hole punch..and everyone thinks there way is the end all be all..unfortunately..i dont have a way yet and tangiers is expensive..so i dont have the luxury of experimenting with it has i did with nakhla and al fakher..i was told for lucid to sprinkle it..and theres tons of hole patterns..the regular in no order pattern, the 3 circles, the 3 squares,..some say dont punch a hole in the middle..some say they punch up to 5 holes..i just need some guidance here on how to get the best possible smoke..

tight pack slightly above rim. 2 rings of holes. small one in the middle if one at all - it helps reduce drag on the pull and if you overfill the bowl the smoke will not be as harsh.

I've been having to use QLs with my phunnel and I found a 40mm golden coal broken into 4 equal pieces with a wind cover works well.

You're right about everyone thinking their way is the end all about packing Tangiers properly. Truth is, as has been my experience seeing Eric, the maker of Tangiers, pack a bowl, only a handful of forum members have a method anything like his. That said...whatever you do, if it works, then kewl.

Glad to read that you've got it down. Expense is quite relative, but, really, once you get Tangiers down, and enjoy your bowls, I don't think you can find a better bargain - in that the amount of time you can smoke a bowl for its cost. Hopefully now you can begin experimenting with other flavors. Edited by judgeposer

What exactly is erics method? Is his the one where you scoop the tangiers out with your bowl? I suck at tangiers and it really makes me mad because I have yet to expeirence the greatness lol... I have static starlight right now and cant ever get it thick with out making it EXTREMELY harsh.. But, I also have 3 kings quicklights... I need cocos

pack it in there, a little thicker then normal tobacco. put foil over it, punch holes however you want. there you have packed a bowl of tangiers. the real trick with tangiers is heat management. that, my friend is something i cannot teach you.
