jschoenith
Do hookah stems all fit in the same vases because i bought a hookah but i want a larger vase for more smoke.
Click
No they do not. Each hookah family usually has different size base they go along with. We would need to know what hookah you are using to tell you want vases you could use. I.E. Syrian, Egyptian, Chinese, and the size of the hookah. jfaltous
FYI, larger vase doesn't mean more smoke... A Mya QT, for example, is capable of producing as much smoke as a full size egyptian.
jschoenith
oh ok, well i bought my hookah from some local smoke shop and there isn't a brand. If i had to guess it would be a chinese p.o.s but i just want a larger vase because the one i have is ugly. but why wouldn't it mean more smoke? wouldn't a larger vase mean more smoke because there is more room
K1024
well there would me more smoke in the chamber...but that doesnt equate to more smoke getting to your lungs.
jfaltous
Every time you take a puff on the hose you're getting smoke from the chamber, but at the same time the chamber is refilling itself from the bowl. Since the chamber has a constant supply running to it, there's no limitation on how much smoke you can get out of any size chamber... it's simply an intermediary.Best thing to do for a new vase is to measure the diameter of the part of the stem that fits into the vase... there's quite a range between hookahs, but chances are yours is somewhere between 1" and 2". From there you just need to find a match. Most online vendors (if that's where you're planning on looking) will have details as to the size of the openings.Don't forget to take the grommet into consideration too. The best way to do this might be to remove your grommet before measuring the size of your stem, and then looking for a vase that has an opening around 1/8" larger. untitled
I am doing just the opposite, the whole stem/hose valves etc I received with my "nemesis" hookah is cheap as can be and very poorly constructed. Any one know of a good QUALITY stem that will fit the nemesis vase?I loved the way my stargate came apart and was very solid. The hose adapters were very well made and were easier to clean or replace, as well as being large enough for the hose and held in solidly to the base.
