Questions About The Qt

Okay so I finally got my QT, nammor and phunnel today, and I wanna get this stuff down properly.

Got some friends coming over and we're gonna smoke some of the Romman that came with the hookah (ordered from H-S). Now I'd usually just do the whole trial and error thing, but I figure that atleast 50% of you have the pipe, so might as well ask a few questions.

Firstly, how much water is good for the QT? I use a bit over 400ml, since I read somewhere that around 4 oz. seems good for the pipe.

Secondly, can the QT even handle a medium phunnel? I mean, the damn phunnel is the same height as the base

Thirdly, I have gotten a diffuser as well, figured I might check it out, but does it really work well with the QT since it's so small? Same question goes for the nammor as well I guess, seems rather big for such a small pipe

Okay that's about it, hope someone out there can answer a few of my questions^^

the diffuser is always a nice addition to any hookah.

the phunnel should work fine, i know that there are pics on here of people using them on qt's

and the water level should be above the end of the stem, its really easy to experiment to get this right. before loading shisha try the pull, if its really hard theres to much water. you want to have an amount above the stem that isnt too hard to pull, but is still filtering..

The water level should be about 4cm above the downstem, I haven't really measured it out exactly but it shouldn't take too long to figure it out. Just hold your base up to the light if you're having trouble seeing the water level.

The phunnel will fit if you use the correct grommet... the one provided with the QT works perfectly, though others can be found. Some grommets are to big to work with the phunnel, if anything use wet paper towel until you find an appropriate sized grommet.

Lastly, I don't think the diffuser will fit on the QT, but that's just me. In my opinion, the diffuser is just an overpriced silencer.

Good water level is about 1/2 - 1 inch above the bottom of the stem.

I put mine about 3/8 below the first fold of the glass.

Actually, I find the diffuser quite useful for any mini hookahs... it cuts down the size of the bubbles and thus the turbulence of the water. In a small hookah if you're pulling hard it will often bubble around and expose the entire downstem, but with the diffuser on this won't happen.

Thanks for all the replies, gonna try to work some magic later on now. Thinking about adding a scalli mod as well using a tea light Btw that Nammor... Damn that's one hell of a fat hose. At first I thought I had too little water because i couldn't hear the bubbles going at all. Then I realized I had a few lungfulls of smoke that had just been in the hose >.<

Anyways will post later on the success/faliure of my first proper phunnel run
