JDHarding
I'm wondering how many of you have gotten a bad batch of Tangiers from Hookah-Shisha. Either regular or lucid. How many of you got a smelly bag of Tangiers that was so stank you had to acclimate it forever, or throw it out?I'm starting to wonder if Hookah-Shisha just has a lot of bad bags of Tangiers.Has anyone ordered Tangiers from a different website and gotten a bad bag?I'm thinking about getting Tangiers from HookahJohn from now on, 'cause every bag I've ever gotten from Hookah-Shisha has been foul. Hojo
A couple of months ago I ordered 3 kilos of Tangiers from H-S. Only Blue Gum Ball has been slow to acclimate, and even it is coming around now. Everything else has been golden, no complaints whatsoever. Click
Everything from H-S has been good except a 250g of OG Blueberry never acclimated correctly.
JDHarding
Huh.. it's almost as if their blue flavors don't acclimate right..My Lucid BGB still has a funny smell to it, but I really don't want to let it sit out and acclimate for weeks. JDHarding
Tangiers needs some quality control. Check each batch carefully before packing. Maybe even acclimate it in shop first, then package it.
Hojo
QUOTE (JDHarding @ Feb 17 2009, 11:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Tangiers needs some quality control. Check each batch carefully before packing. Maybe even acclimate it in shop first, then package it.Acclimation is all about humidity. Even if he acclimated it in-shop, it would go into humidity shock somewhere between his lounge and your house. I've never had a bad batch of Tangiers. Sure, it's finnicky, but once it works right is is the best brand on the market. Please, smoke something else.

They seem to be more forgiving if I happen to pack it wrong.
SimplexCoda
ive ordered about 3 kilos of tangiers from H-S, none of them were bad.
Zyram
ordered a bunch a week and a half ago, so far tropical revenge has been the one that hasn't acclimated well. Marashino cherry and grape are already smoked! I've got some passionfruit and Static starlight that are also already acclimated. I've not opened the 7other packs yet, but so far all but one have only needed a few hours to a day (tropical revenge is going on 2 days, I thought it was good today but when I smoked it it had a plastic taste, so opened it back up and have it sitting out again.) I will sometimes pack a bowl hours before I smoke it (poke the holes in the foil too) and just let it sit out and acclimate for a few hours in the bowl where you're going to smoke. It's definitely finnicky in the winter for me, so I can't wait to get back to the nicer weather!-Z
ebarnes02
I've never had any Tangiers flavor not smell how it was supposed to smell. I think most people just don't know how it is going to/supposed to smell so they think it is bad.
