NaiohT
Hi All,I've acclimated a few packs of tangiers fine, mostly being k-peach and some plain old kashmir.I ordered 3-4 more packs and they will be here in a couple days.My main question - is how do you know for sure that your tobacco is acclimated? Is it the smell/the texture/juiciness?Also - is it possible to over-acclimate - or if i left it out for a while longer would it only get better? And finally - does anyone else acclimate before they smoke, even after their first acclimation? For instance, sometimes i will put some k-peach out a few hours before i know I'm going to smoke it - i haven't tasted much of a difference, but wanted to know if it changes anything. Thanks in advance for your help. modisess
if it smells like it should be then it's done acclimating.
Capt. Morgan
When one of my roommates walks into the suite and says "Dear god. I want to est that." I figure its acclimated enough.
inino
I dont think you can over acclimate. when the smell is right you should be good. if its soy sauce keep going. your location can be a factor of how long it takes as well.
jeremyk
yeah the main thing i look for is if it smells like the flavor is it and makes ou wanna eat it
shalowlow
The thing about it is that you just kind of know...when I first got tangiers, I could smell the flavoring, but I could also smell the tobacco...I thought that's how it's supposed to smell....it's not! It's supposed to smell EXACTLY like the flavor...if there is a hint of tobacco smell in there, it's not ready. It may be smokeable...but not ready. When it's ready, it will be a DEAD ON smell....and you will not really smell any tobacco at all. When it smells like that, it will be smooth and flavorful and only a little bit of a nicotine tingle in the throat.
