[LB]
DONT! you crazy sonofabitch. make a fire or somethingand use the hot embers, they make a greeat white smoke! i always use them very pleasant- a little harsher- and you have to puff faster but its nice and pulls truckloads of smoke. navynmr
I've tried it once, cause i never knew you shouldn't do that. It burns ur throat. Its hot. There a crazy taste, bbq charcoal taste. I nvr did it again. If ur really desprate, still don't try it, if u are anywayz then use very small pieces

Froogah
Smoking out of a fireplace or campfire is indeed a good way to go. Some of my thickest and most flavorful smokes have been fueled by fresh wood fire coal. I would imagine it depends somewhat on the type of wood that is being burned, however. HookahCaterpillar
HAH dont do that!! I know how it is though. One time i was going to the beach and i packed up alll my hookah things but forgot charcoals! I even remember to pack pushpins to poke holes but no coals. I spent an entire day on the boardwalk going in and out of all kinds of weird stores that sell insence and stuff after hunting and hunting i found a small little indian shop that had 3 rolls of coals for incense! It was like finding the holy grail haha. They werent my brand but it sure did beat using grill charcoals. If you truly are desperate i suggest using a torch without foil and lighting the tobacco straight up it would be harsh but if you are that desperate it would be ALOT safer then using a charcoal meant for grilling! Sonthert
Burning wood produces more carbon monoxide than burning charcoal. I think. I'm like 65% sure. Bad idea.
pavlakos_politakos
but since charcoal is already carbon, wouldnt the charcoal produce moore carbon monoxide?
Sonthert
It has the same amount of carbon, just the wood has other stuff in it that steals oxygen and pulls the equilibrium towards carbon monoxide.
