a_shimoon
Nakhla was the first stuff I smoked. It was the only stuff available here. (4 years ago)I didn't really care for it. The bowls started to taste harsh quickly, not a great tobacco, etc.But I see a lot of people here that swear by it... has the blend changed? Or was I just getting crappy old stuff? I've smoked Nakhla lots, from all kinds of places, and it's never been great, and I don't even grade it anywhere near AF/SB/Tangiers etc.Whats your thoughts? Hojo
Hmmm...Cheap, Great, long-lasting flavor, thick smoke, nice buzz, wide range of flavors, easy to pack and manage heat.Nakhla is a staple in my stash, alongside AF and Tangiers.
jfaltous
Some people prefer the drier stuff with the basic flavors By the way, Afzal was available here 4 years ago too... and that's probably why Nakhla got popular.
Stuie
As JD would say...."It's the dog's balls!"It's a great tobacco, very old school...1913 old school! You don't get massive clouds straight out of the box, but flavors are awesome and the buzz is amazing! It can take heat pretty will I can load it in a Hemi Bowl and throw 3 Coconaras on it and not get harsh. It's just a tobacco you never have to worry about.
Click
Agree,It's one of the most forgiving shishas. You can pack it blindfolded with one hand behind your back and masturbating with the other hand and still get a good bowl. You just gotta try different flavor imo. Once I found flavors I liked it's always in my stash.

I personally find the wetter shishas like AF, SB and Tonic to be the most forgiving.PS - do you always masturbate while packing your bowls..? ebarnes02
Pretty much already been summed up, it is a very cheap, quality smoke. I've found flavors i've liked and flavors i've hated.
mattarios2
You will always find flavors you like and hate, add a little glycerin to it and I personally think it can't be beat. The flavors have that traditional taste to them that no other brand is able to mimic. And easily burned? It must have been really really dry nak then, it is hard to burn nak.
engineonmute
well i hope its just the flavors... i had raspberry or something once... i plan on giving nakhla another try
AKammenzind
Yeah, not much to say that hasn't been said. I've always smoked mainly nakhla since I started. I can get it cheap locally, and it's consistent. I like to try other things, but I keep coming back because nakhla simply doesn't have any issues. When I smoke it I know it's going to be good and I won't have to even think about heat management.

I'm not buying anything. On a related note: maybe you've been trying the wrong Nakhla. Try Double Apple, Sweet Melon, Cinnamon, Mandarin, Caramel, Mango, and Chocomint. THOSE are surefire flavors. JDHarding
It's okay stuff for the price. I prefer my shishas to be a little juicier, though. Maybe I'll add some honey/agave to mine.I think Tangiers is more popular because it has that natural flavor, molasses based, unwashed, and is wetter than Nakhla. mattarios2
Nak mainly has natural flavors and is also unwashed and easily juicy by adding glyc. Tang is more popular because more people on this forum like it lol. All over the world nak is well known, this forum is a small small percentage of smokers.Like Stuie Said, different strokes for different folks
Scoop
the majority of the world doesn't add glycerin to nakhla either...people smoke it how it is heh

I don't know about the quality of the tobacco between them, but they both have natural flavoring and are unwashed. Both give a good buzz. Both can be pretty harsh if not done properly, though Tangiers is more heat finicky.
mattarios2
Eh I don't think you can compare, two different breeds. Tang has that like current new aged flavor to it, if you can make any sense of that... and I have yet to taste that in Nakhla.
JDHarding
Well yeah.. like I said.. Nakhla is low quality Tangiers. Think of Nakhla as bargain bin shisha, but not quite as shitty. Good price, good smoke, but not "great".

ColibriDon
I love it. Great smoke, easy to manage, easy to buy. Nakhla Double Apple is my go to smoke. I try to smoke it once or twice a week. From the jar is best but, when I last ordered, the jars were out of stock. Cherry is a very nice flavor as well, I'm going for some sweet melon on my next stock up in March and a kilo can of Double Apple. This is a staple in my stash like Fumari, AF, and Layalina. Stuie
is H-S the only one with Jars? Wish I could get more flavors in jars.
