JDHarding
Well, Matt over at Tangiers read my posts about their Lucid Blue Gum Ball, and how it stunk out of the bag, so he sent me a bag of free Lucid Blue Gum Ball. I got it in the mail today and it smells worlds better than my previous order. Smells sweet, with little to no soy sauce smell. Kinda has a BBQ smell to it, but it's a sweet, well done BBQ, not the burnt BBQ my last one smelt like. And it seems my previous order is acclimating correctly, because it smells a lot like this new bag. So hooray for me! I acclimated it correctly! I haven't smoked either of these Lucid BGBs yet, so.. hopefully it'll be all good. If it is, I'm gonna be buying a whole lot more Tangiers thanks to their nice customer service. Watermelon, K-cherry, Horchata, I'm gonna go Tangiers-crazy.
Hobbs
If this is all Lucid I'm real confused as to why there seems to be so many problems. My lucid blue gumball sat on my porch for about 6 hours in 35 degree weather.. it was raining, and I took it inside, loaded a bowl and it smoked just fine. Bizarre..Grats that you got it smoking good though, I have Watermelon and K-cherry as well and they're delicious.
JDHarding
No I haven't actually smoked any of it yet. I'll smoke it later tonight, probably, before bed. But I got my old stuff to acclimate properly, though it still has a soy sauce/BBQ sauce smell to it. Maybe I need to mix some agave, honey, or glycerine into it since it's dried out some from so much acclimating.I'm acclimating the new stuff too, but it won't need much acclimating. Just a few hours should do.The only thing I can think of is that the other lucid BGB I have might not be Lucid.. it could have possibly been accidentally switched for regular BGB. It's the only explanation I got for it.
Zyram
If you still have the packaging, Lucid has an orange label, regular has yellow, at least in my experience. You might be able to ID it that way just to be sure.-Z
JDHarding
Nono, I'm saying the shisha bag and the packaging bag were mixed up.. so a regular bag of shisha went into a Lucid wrapper and bag. I can't imagine this smell happening to Lucid shisha.

JDHarding
Whew.. people said this had a mild flavor? I dunno about that.. this is pretty strong.Doesn't quite taste like a blue gumball.. tastes more like raspberries.Strong flavor.. thanks to my marvelous bowl packing skills. Basically, I just overfilled the bowl.

JDHarding
Ah.. well that was a nice hookah session.I got a question.. when packing the funnel bowl with Tangiers, are you supposed to pack it full so the foil touches the shisha, or pack the shisha down so it doesn't touch the foil?
