a_shimoon
I met Andy tonight, after trying to see him for 4 years! I missed him in Yerevan, again in Vegas, again in Calgary, and finally I saw him.I got a VIP pass and saw him backstage. At this point, my 4 years of learning Armenian came in handy, as I had a full conversation with him in Armenian. It really made the years of studying worth it (I didn't speak Armenian as a child). He seemed to love it, and gave me his DVD for free!!! He also sang an Armenian song later on just for me (there were no other Armenians at the concert, all Persian). Here's the pics:Left: My roommate, Middle: Andy, Right: MeMe talking to AndyMe and AndyMy roommate and Andy

a_shimoon
Most of western culture is banned in Iran (although most Iranians are quite liberal and resist the government)Andy is banned because his music is considered a bit risque, he has a bunch of young dancers and sings about love etc. He also sings in many languages, including Farsi, Armenian, English, etc.
