SuburbanSmoker
So i bought a crap load of nakhla from the HL liquidation sale and i have to say its not as good as i remember it being a couple of years ago. i dont know if this is due to me being spoiled with tangiers and af, however im wondering if there is something im doing wrong.First thing i noticed was that the tobacco was very compressed, and didnt want to flugg very much. I packed it into my med phuneel today and noticed it needs a crap ton of heat. at first i tried it with cocos, worked out alright but kept getting a kind of "smokey" or hot flavour to it which wasnt very enjoyable. i then tried it with a new bowl( same setup) and used 3 kings (2) QLs and got a similar result. i was smoking out of my exotica which had just been thouroughly cleaned. Maybe its just the flavour, but in the past i dont remember it being that much of a high maintanence tobacco. O and it was there strawberry. Im going to try the peach and orange tommoro after work.If there is something simple that im forgetting to do feel free to chime in. any feedback is much appreciated because i would hate for 2 kilos of tobacco to go to waste. Hobbs
Try letting it acclimate just a smidgen (30 mins to an hour) before you smoke. Nakhla in general is kind of "chunky" so it doesn't fluff as much as finer cut shisha like Al Fakher. Then try cutting down on your heat a little bit. newjacksm
you wont get clouds your use to with tangiers with nakhla. if you want clouds go purchase glycerin. add about 30ml's into 250g mix it real well and add to your funnel. you should be set to go.. Zinite
I got the same stuff from HL and I'm not having a problem with it at all.
AKammenzind
User error really. Do yourself a favor and unlearn everything for nakhla... it's the easiest tobacco to smoke bar none, and you might just be trying too hard.
Hippo_Master
Strawberry Nakhla is already kinda shitty. When it has been sitting a in a warehouse for 1-5 years it's gonna be extra crappy. It's gonna need some help to smoke correctly; glycerin, honey, etc.
mattarios2
i find the nakhla that is still a bit sticky is fine, but the ones that are dry, def need glyc/honey ... after you add those things, I don't think it can be beat for the price. Bulldog_916
I was gonna say ditch the phunnel when you pack nakhla. But apparently you got it.
yoyoyo
Yesterday i tried Nakhla melon, it was the best melon i had ever. In a small funnel, with CH coals. The clouds were as big as with tangiers or starbuzz.Today i found by accident in a local supermarket that sells the Mizo line. So i bought Mizo grape. With small funnel and CH coals, the taste is amazing and the clouds very very big. Its Mizo line for me from now and on!
