Orbit's Air Tight Hookahs

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at buying an acrylic airtight hookah made by a company called Orbit. It looks to be Egyptian, and is 26" tall. All a pretty good deal for $85.

My real question being does the air tight system work effectively? I understand the basic idea; a valve seals the stem from flow. Wouldn't the water seal the stem from ambient pressure as long as I'm not applying negative pressure on the water? It seems a little useless to me.

Regardless of the airtight system, this seems to be a pretty good deal. Given my objectives for buying a new hookah, this seems like a solid choice.

im not really sure what you mean but a 26" acrylic hookah for $85 seems really expensive.

I want a hookah that accepts a female head (so I can get a phunnel), is as tall or taller than my current 26", has 1 non-myan hose, a large vase, and hits hard. I'm trying to find out if anyone has used an orbit hookah before and if there is a noticeable difference. As for the price, for that model of hookah, it's pretty low.

It also seems that the stem screws into the vase, providing further seal.

Check out gothookahs.com and look at the Magdy Zidan Egyptian hookahs, they have several around the $65 mark which will leave you enough cash to grab a Nammor/Razan hose which will give you a great little setup that prolly blows that acrylic outta the water and meets all the requiremnets listed.

Also I may add that the Orbit Acrylic hookah is a ripoff of the Mya Acrylic and still uses a mya style hose which is somethin you wanted to get away from. I would pay maybe $50 for that hookah not $85, especially since it's not the real thing...
