JDHarding
Is it possible for the smoke to get so thick you can't handle it?I got a diffuser, phunnel, and glass screen. 2 coco naras on top, and some AF Watermelon packed in the bowl. I noticed it was a bit dry, so I poured some glycerine over the top.I put the wind cover on and let everything cook for 10 minutes. 20 minutes into smoking it I get a tickle in the back of my throat, and it won't go away. I'm blowing huge clouds, but the smoke is a little harsh and I'm coughing. What's going on here? Is it the diffuser, is it the amount of heat? I take one coal off, put the cover back on and now the smoke is waaaay too thin. I put them both back on and take the cover off.. smoke is still too thin. Cover goes back on, and the smoke is once again too harsh. This glass screen is kind of finicky, isn't it?Maybe my wind cover is focusing the heat too much, not sure. I'm using a Taj style windcover from hookah-shisha.com.Any thoughts?
zachslusser
I think it might be too much heat.... Take off the wind cover and just use the 3 coals maybe. and yes the glass screen is finicky i have heard. I would just use foil. cuz AF should really never be harsh unless your cooking the shit. JDHarding
Took the cover off and put a third coal on. Seems to smoke better, but the other two coals are now shrunk down to 1/4 their original size. *shrug* Oh well.

MechAnt
You may have added too much glycerine. For a single bowl, all you need is a couple drops and no more than that.
mIckeyG
When I first started smoking I had this problem. What I think it was though, was my body saying, "too much nicotine, stop."because at the hookah bars where I started, i would smoke with 5 people and the coals would keeeeep a comingI may have just had a low nicotine tolerance
